High-season dates (July-August and 20 Dec-5 Jan) carry a 3-night minimum on suites and are the first to go, message Sarah early.
Some celebrations don’t fit in a restaurant. The villa seats up to 40 guests for dinner under the open sky, long tables by the 16-metre pool, Chef Wayan at the grill or sending out his mother’s Balinese feast course by course, and nobody asking for the bill at 21:00.
Putu Eka Yanti runs the night. She spent 12 years in Seminyak five-stars before joining the family, and it shows: place settings, pacing, the quiet word to the kitchen when speeches run long. The event fee starts at $950; food is priced per person, Balinese feast $25, BBQ night $30.
Music plays until 22:00, a hard line that keeps us friends with the rice-field neighbours. Guests staying over take the four suites (the villa sleeps 10), and Gede can shuttle the rest in his air-conditioned 7-seater.
